Rome Braves Opener
The Redmond EMS Honor Guard presented colors at the Rome Braves season opener on April 8th before a crowd of over 4000 spectators. Guard members Jeremy Wallin, Wyndie Medley and Jessica Nesbit participated in the ceremony. The Rome Braves fell to the Hagerstown Suns 3-2.
Funeral Detail For Athens-Clarke County Police Officer Elmer Christian
Redmond EMS Honor Guard members Jeremy Wallin, Walker Mann and Jessica Nesbit traveled to Athens to participate in the funeral detail for Senior Police Officer Elmer Christian who was shot and killed while responding to an incident where another officer had been shot and wounded.
2,500 people – including law enforcement officers from Georgia and nationwide – packed the Classic Center Theater in Athens for the funeral. Honor Guards from numerous public safety agencies participated in the procession including the Redmond EMS Honor Guard.
